It's been a beautiful sunny weekend here in Mid Wales and it feels like Spring is on the way. This time last year all the flowers were crushed under the snow so the display wasn't as full as it normally is, but this year has been much milder so the garden is finally coming back to life.
The first daffodils have come out
and we have a variety of gorgeous crocuses peeking through the grass.
The colder nights and warm mornings created a blanket of mist in the valleys
and the girls are very happy that they weren't rained on 24/7 over the last few days.
Clouds of snowdrops surround our apple trees
and my seedlings are just starting to appear in the conservatory/makeshift greenhouse. Love this time of year! I'm itching to get planting but know from experience that putting things out too early is foolhardy.
Our guests this weekend made the most of the weather and went on lots of dog walks, took lots of photos and also took a steam train trip. Fingers crossed this is the start of many sunny days!
