Cwmbiga - the Farmhouse Croeso!  Welcome to Cwmbiga Farm

Self Catering /  B&B / Conferences / Courses

Whether you wish to stay in one of our
4 star, Gold Award winning, eco friendly cottages or opt for bed and breakfast in our comfortable, fully modernised, Grade II listed farmhouse, Cwmbiga is an ideal rural retreat and a great base for an outdoor activity holiday, a quiet or romantic break or a get together with friends and family.

Cwmbiga is a 60 acre smallholding and wildlife haven set in its own valley in the Hafren Forest and the Cambrian Mountains.  The Clywedog Reservoir (renowned for its fly fishing) is nearby and we're only 9 miles from the lovely market town of Llanidloes.  The Glyndwr's Way passes half a mile from us and we are 4 miles from the source of the Severn.  Cwmbiga is also on a national cycle path (Sustrans Route 8).

Self catering breaks

If you are looking for a low impact, but very comfortable break in a lovely rural location with abundant wildlife, then our eco friendly cottages will fit the bill.  The adjoining cottages (sleeping up to 8 in each) are centrally heated, with a cosy wood burner for supplementary heat, modern and well equipped.  If you wish, we will provide a freshly home cooked three course evening meal on the day of arrival.  For more information, click on the self catering link.

Bed and Breakfast at Cwmbiga

Our traditional Welsh farmhouse has been fully modernised, though we have retained a lot of the original features.  We have three cosy and comfortable rooms available, two double and one twin, and we can accommodate further B&B guests in rooms in our holiday cottages.  If we use one or more of these rooms as an annexe, everyone in the party can still eat, socialise and relax in the spacious conservatory attached to the farmhouse.

We serve both breakfast and evening meals in our lovely oak framed conservatory from which you can oversee the valley of the river Biga and watch the birds feed at the numerous feeders.  Guests are also welcome to relax in the comfortable sofas in the conservatory.  For more information, click on the bed & breakfast link from the menu.

Cwmbiga as a venue for Courses / Conferences & Training Events

The open plan design means that the cottages also provide a lovely venue for small conferences, meetings and training / team building events.   We have a large conservatory attached to the main farmhouse which is also available for such occasions and for the courses we run from Cwmbiga.  For information about using Cwmbiga as a venue, click on the conferences / training venue link on the menu.  Details of forthcoming courses can be found here.

If you would like to book a stay at Cwmbiga or you need more information, please get in touch.   We'll look forward to welcoming you to Cwmbiga soon.
