We intend to provide simple but high quality, environmentally friendly accommodation in a beautiful setting: a working organic farm on which wildlife and bio diversity are actively encouraged.
We hope that Cwmbiga will be an exemplar of sustainable technologies that will form the basis of it becoming an educational resource in its own right. We also hope to offer specialist short breaks based at the farm: such as bird watching, photography, astronomy, naturalist and walking weekends.
Where we are now [Autumn 2010]
We have been welcoming guests to our 4 star holiday cottages for almost two years now. We also offer stabling for horses and storage, drying and repair facilities for cyclists and walkers.
We are now open to B&B guests in the farmhouse: with three lovely guest bedrooms. The guests also have the use of a large conservatory: in which we serve guests breakfast and dinner. As with the holiday cottages, the aim has been to produce a lovely building whose use has a relatively low impact on the environment
Livestock
The picture will be completed by the arrival of our own livestock. Our plan is to rear traditional breeds such as Welsh Black cattle and Welsh pigs, alongside goats and hens, in the best and most natural environment we can provide. We will also be growing our own fruit and vegetables.
We will also offer tasty, home made and home grown food to visitors and the wider public.
