Feedback Comments from Renewable Energy Workshop – Brecon Beacons - 18 May 2011

Just to say that the course on renewable energy was one of the best run for local businesses.  The information provided was quite in depth and will be a real 'bullshit filter' for people who want to invest in this sort of technology when they talk to some of the companies who have jumped on this bandwagon.  Definitely a course to run at regular intervals.  The hand-outs were comprehensive and excellent.

Neil and Lucienne Bennett, the Wern Horse and Rider B&B

Just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed yesterday thank you, it was informative, interesting and very thought provoking!! I'm only sorry that a few of us had to run away promptly for the school run without giving our proper thanks!

Alyson @ Glanhenwye

We had a great day and found Peter’s presentation very informative and felt it was pitched at just the right level.  It gave us lots to think about and we both learnt a great deal on the more technical side of things from someone who had put into practise what he was talking about.  Also great venue and lunch.

Greg Abbott, prospective B&B start-up

Just thought I would let you know that Peter Bayliss gave a very informative and useful talk to us on Tuesday.  He clearly understands his topic well and approaches the subject from having carried out a great deal of research and a mix of practical experience.  His degrees in maths and economics certainly helped too, it was like going back to school.  We left knowing the basics of all the different technologies and many of the pitfalls to be aware of.  A very useful day with a very good speaker. Thank you.

James Suter, Gliffaes Hotel

Had to leave early so did not complete an assessment form about the day's course.  This is just to say how much I enjoyed it. Peter was excellent & coverage was great despite the maths!!! It certainly made one think.  Also information given was thorough & because he had actually gone through the process himself was able to point up very valuable points on where to take care / ask questions / think about by using his personal knowledge.  Many thanks for an excellent day in very hospitable surroundings & catering.  All the best & again thanks for such a worthwhile day.

June Scarbrough, Carno Farm

I’d like to thank you on a number of levels for arranging this meeting.  It has been wonderful to see that a conversation with a BBNP Officer has led to a course that has addressed a great deal of the questions that I have had about renewable energy & its application.  Peter Bayliss did a wonderful job with his presentation and, while it was quite technical, it was refreshing to be given the facts & figures as they are and not have the presentation ‘dumbed down’.  There was a lot of positive feedback from the other delegates about the content of the day.

Mark Jones, The Barn @ Brynich

Just to let you know that we both found this session extremely helpful and interesting.  We liked his style of presentation and the pace was fine.  Also Brynich Barn was a very good venue and the refreshments and lunch excellent.  Thank you.

Hilary & Graham Lipscombe, Old Rectory Barn

Peter Bayliss was an excellent choice for to-days Course.  He was knowledgeable as well as having a good sense of witty humour and the ability to talk well and keep us all paying attention!  I came away from the course much clearer in my mind about how to go about researching for energy information, government support and installation expertise.  Thank you for organising and running a good worthwhile Course.

Rose Vyvyan-Robinson, Alltybrain Farm Cottages

Thank you for organizing this course - It was really informative and inspiring.  What more can I say! Please pass on my thanks.
