Cwmbiga Farm lies about 9 miles north west of Llanidloes in Powys, Mid Wales. Here is a regional map with Cwmbiga marked. The Farm is about 1 mile west of the western most tip of the Clywedog Reservoir. The farm appears on Sheet 136 of the 1:50,000 Ordnance Survey 'Landranger' series, at SN860892. If you copy the grid reference, you can use the Ordnance Survey Get-a-Map facility to go straight to an OS map of the farm and area. From Llanbrynmair: Take the B4518 south, signposted Staylittle / Penfforddlas. Stay on this road for 9 miles until you arrive at Staylittle / Penfforddlas. Take the right turn signposted Llyn Clywedog and follow this road for 3 miles. Cwmbiga is on the right hand side of the road on a sweeping left hand bend. From Llanidloes: Follow the signs for Staylittle. Once you have left Llanidloes, stay on the B4518 for 8 miles until you arrive at Staylittle / Penfforddlas. Take the left turn signposted Llyn Clywedog and follow this road for 3 miles. Cwmbiga is on the right hand side of the road on a sweeping left hand bend. By Rail The nearest railway station is Caersws, a stop between Newtown and Machynlleth, on the Birmingham to Aberystwyth line. Caersws is about 7 miles east of Llanidloes (see above). |
