Ystwyth - one of our double
rooms Bed and Breakfast at Cwmbiga

We have three cosy and comfortable rooms available in the farmhouse, named after the three nymphs that reputedly met nearby, ‘Varga’, ‘Ystwyth’ and ‘Sabrina’.  Varga and Ystwyth are double rooms and Sabrina is a twin.  All are en suite.

All three rooms
have comfortable beds with locally made patchwork quilts and 100% cotton sheets, an en suite shower or bath room.  Each has tea and coffee making facilities.

Our Grade II listed traditional Welsh farmhouse has been
fully modernised, though we have retained a lot of the original features, so each room features exposed beams and original stonework as well as photographs of beauty spots and wildlife local to Cwmbiga taken by Richard becker.

VargaWe serve both breakfast and evening meals in our lovely oak framed conservatory from which you can oversee the valley of the river Biga and watch the birds feed at the numerous feeders.  Guests are also welcome to relax in the comfortable sofas in the conservatory.

More than 6 B&B Guests?

If there are more than 6 persons in your party, we can accommodate further B&B guests in twin and double rooms in our holiday cottages.  If we use one or more of these rooms as an annexe, everyone in the party can still eat, socialise and relax in the spacious conservatory attached to the farmhouse.

Breakfast / Evening Meals

All meals are freshly cooked on the premises using local ingredients where possible.

Breakfast consists of cereals, toast (bread from the Talerddig Bakery)
, porridge (organic oats) and a full Welsh breakfast.  The cooked breakfast includes tasty local bacon and sausages (from Neuadd Fach Baconry), eggs (from local farms) accompanied by beans, mushrooms etc.

A typical evening meal menu would be warm Welsh goats cheese with caramelised onion, on a bed of salad and vinaigrette to start, followed by Scottish salmon in tomato and herb sauce or lasagne with ricotta cheese both served with seasonal vegetables and finished off by fresh fruit crème brûlée or plum upside down cake.  We can happily cater for vegetarians and coeliacs.

Luggage transfer.

If you arrive on foot, on cycle or on horseback, we will happily pick up your baggage from your previous accommodation and transfer it to the next: or arrange a local firm to do this.
